Day Light Captures:
From daylight shots you find that the 48MP CAMERA OFFERS GOOD clarity.
- By default, it takes pictures in 12MP and there is adequate details on offer.
- The sharpness elements are quite good even though at times you can see some noise creeping in.
- The color quality is decent only at times the exposure is imperfect.
- The phone also comes in HDR mode which works quite well
- The dynamic range is pretty good
- You can also take pictures in 14MP mode but the size is almost three times the regular one.
The phone also comes with an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera whose performance is decent though it can’t retain the sharpness and details of the 48MP shooter.
At times the wide-angle photos were slightly blurry especially when the light goes down.
The Redmi Note 8 also comes with 2MP macro lens which can shoot images as close as 2CM which is segment firstly. The macro shots are good and good colours and sharpness levels.
Macros are definitely a handy feature to have.
Portrait Charts:
The phone can take some good portraits, the colors are good and they are taken with the primary camera.
The reproduction is mostly accurate.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro offers changing aperture value of the bouquet after taking pictures.
Low-light Images:
- The phone has F1.8 Aperture and it produces decent results in lowlight and indoor lighting conditions.
- In extreme low light you can see noise creeping in but it can shift into nght mode which does better.
- The night mode images are sharp and it reduces the noise levels.
The Selfie Experience:
- The 13MP selfie camera is good and the skin tones are also good.
- The images have good details and are sharp as well.
- The colors, pretty good and so is the dynamic range.
- The portrait selfies for the selfie cam are also on board. Here the camera does a good job in energy reduction but at times it messes with the edges. All the same it still provides good portrait selfies.
Conclusion:
Much recommendable to take pictures in 12MP mode which does a decent job over 14MP.
The phone does a good job in bringing the details. Colors are also good as well as details and sharpness levels.
The phone does a decent job in the low-light photography.
